Imam Mohammed Mahmoud is a British Islamic scholar, educator and community leader based in London. He co-founded Salik Society, an institute focused on traditional Islamic sciences, and serves as a Shari'ah and Ethics Advisor in Islamic finance.
He is recognised for his leadership and contribution to community cohesion, particularly following the 2017 Finsbury Park terror attack, for which he was awarded an OBE. His work has also focused on pastoral care and supporting the needs of the wider community.
He studied Biology at UCL before pursuing traditional Islamic studies under respected scholars, including an extended period with the Mauritanian scholar Shaykh Ammar Ali Salem al-Shinqeeti. His work brings together Islamic scholarship, spiritual development and practical guidance for contemporary Muslims.
